I spent over a decade building my career in marketing, working my way up through agency roles, in-house teams, and eventually senior leadership positions at global companies. I loved the work. I loved the pace. And I learned an enormous amount about what it takes to build brands, drive growth, and actually deliver results.
But somewhere along the way, I realised the life I wanted wasn't in a city office. I'd fallen in love with the Scottish Highlands, with the landscape, the community, and the slower rhythm that lets you think more clearly. In 2023, I made the move to Camusdarach on the west coast, and I haven't looked back.
Furbs Marketing is the product of everything I've learned and everywhere I've been. I bring the strategic depth and execution quality of a senior in-house hire, with the flexibility and personal investment that only comes from someone who genuinely cares about your business.

Agency roots
Brighton
Started my career in agency-land in Brighton, cutting my teeth across multiple sectors and learning the fundamentals of strategy, content, and client management. Fast-paced, varied, and the best possible training ground.
NCTJ-trained journalist
Foundation
I trained as a journalist, which gave me something most marketers don't have: the ability to find the real story, ask the right questions, and communicate with clarity. It's the backbone of everything I do.

Europe & APAC
Led integrated marketing across Europe and Asia-Pacific for one of the world's largest digital advertising companies. Built and managed teams, shaped global campaigns, and developed the strategic frameworks that now underpin my consultancy work.
The move to the Highlands
2023
Left the corporate world and relocated to Camusdarach on the west coast of Scotland. Not a retirement, not a downshift. A deliberate decision to build something better, in a place I love, on my own terms.

Now working with ambitious businesses across the UK and locally in the Highlands. Director-level strategy and hands-on delivery, from tech startups and SaaS platforms to tourism and hospitality. All the expertise, none of the overhead.

I've led campaigns for global brands, built marketing functions from scratch, and managed teams across multiple time zones. That experience doesn't disappear when you swap Brighton for Camusdarach. It just gets focused on the businesses that matter most to me now.

Moving to the Highlands wasn't just about finding a beautiful place to work. It was about becoming part of something. That's why I volunteer as marketing lead for the Arisaig Community Trust, helping to shape how this incredible community tells its story and connects with the people who live here and visit.
It matters to me that the skills I've built over my career don't just serve paying clients. The Highlands have given me so much, and giving something back through community work feels like the most natural thing in the world.
This isn't a side project or a line on a CV. It's a genuine reflection of who I am and how I work. When I say I care about your business, I mean it. Because caring about the work and the people behind it is what brought me here in the first place.
